My name is Miss Kaitlin Iavecchia and I am very excited to begin my teaching journey at Queen of Angels with the fourth-grade! Growing up I kept very busy. I played soccer, basketball, and lacrosse for many teams. I also joined the school band for four years, playing the clarinet. After graduating from Saint Matthew Grade School in 2011, I attended Franklin Towne Charter High School where I discovered God’s true calling for me. I discovered God wanted me to teach and share my stories with others as a teacher had done for me. To continue my education I attended Chestnut Hill College. I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Middle Level Education and minor in Special Education. During my time at Chestnut Hill I became a Resident Assistant for the main freshmen residence hall, as well as played women’s lacrosse where I was team captain
my senior year. I hold my Instructional I state certification in grades 4-6 all subjects and grades 7-8 social studies. I have been an active member of my home parish of Saint Matthew for many years where I altar served and am now lecturing and serving as a Eucharistic Minister. During my spare time, I enjoy doing arts and crafts as well as watching Marvel movies! I look forward to sharing my Catholic faith with the students I teach at Queen of Angels!
